Impressions
Quilla House Ecologico is a hidden gem located in the heart of Machu Picchu, Peru. During my visit there with friends, we all fell in love with the hotel's sun terrace. The terrace provided a stunning view of the surrounding mountains, which served as the perfect backdrop for our morning coffee and conversation. During the day, we enjoyed basking in the sun while taking in the beauty of our surroundings. In the evening, the terrace transformed into the perfect spot for a cozy sunset gathering, where we could unwind and enjoy the tranquility of the area.
Another element of Quilla House Ecologico that impressed us was the hotel's garden area. It was planted with various herbs, vegetables, and fruits, which were used in their on-site restaurant. As we wandered around the gardens, we were able to learn about the different types of plants that were grown on site and their traditional uses. Additionally, it was such a pleasure to take a peaceful walk around the garden area in the morning, which was an idyllic and refreshing way to start our day.
Lastly, I must mention the hotel's public bath. It was an ancient-style bathhouse located in the garden area, and it was such a unique and rejuvenating experience. The public bath featured natural hot springs and hot stones, which helped to relax our muscles and soothe our stresses away. The staff provided us with towels, robes, and slippers, which added to the feeling of luxury and pampering. It was an incredibly bonding experience for our group, and we all agreed that it was one of the highlights of our trip.
